This workshop will walk you through how to find foundations and grant opportunities that fit your work, how to formulate key components of a strong grant application, and how to make your application stand out to grant reviewers.

The workshop includes a 3-part, step-by-step process for tackling the grant writing process, as well as 3 in-depth check-in calls with our team. Throughout the process, our instructors will be on hand to make sure you’re understanding the steps, answer any questions or challenges that may arise, and offer expert feedback on your work.

Orientation Get to know your instructors as we get to know more about you and your organization. We’ll walk you through the overall course and get started on the first week’s worksheet and exercises.

Week 1 - Finding your grantmakers We'll go over your proposal outline, the specifics of what you’re seeking funding for, and how to find grant-makers who are looking for organizations like yours.

Week 2 - Crafting a winning application We'll go over how to read a foundation's requests for proposal to understand what they’re really asking, how to highlight your work and use key phrases effectively, and how to craft a strong application.

Week 3 - Writing and applying We'll walk you through the full application process and what to expect and provide feedback from our experts on your actual grant application.
