Past Participants

In 2014, we tested our work through a pilot program with 4 nonprofits, all of us ready to learn and grow together. Here are the results…

Urban Creators

Pennsylvania

We collaborated with the Urban Creators to create their first impact evaluation framework. The Urban Creators is a youth & community driven organization that inspires inner-city neighborhoods to transform neglected lots into food hubs and social enterprises. Over the past 5 years, they have converted 10 acres of blighted land into an urban farm and community hub in North Philadelphia. Now with their evaluation framework, the organization can learn for the first time the impact the farm is making in the lives of their students and community members.

Aevidum

Pennsylvania

Aevidum is an organization that brings mental health curriculum to middle school and high school students. Together we built their new back-to-school campaign, The Talk. Through this campaign, students are given the tools to hold effective conversations about mental health and combat the stigmas associated with depression & suicide. Change Better helped with the ideation, design, and materials for the campaign. And most importantly, we developed a way for Aevidum to use data to measure the results. We want to make sure that these conversations aren’t just nice to have, that they’re effective. Through our partnership, Aevidum now has the tools to learn from its work and ultimately build stronger campaigns to combat the #1 killer of teens in America.

imMEDIAte Justice

California

We worked with imMEDIAte Justice to support their new school program that teaches low-income girls how to create films, tell their stories, and ignite change. Through our partnership, we assessed their strengths and weaknesses through a detailed diagnostic, developed stronger metrics in alignment with the nonprofit's mission, and designed a survey for the workshop participants that gathers data on their experiences and tracks changes over time. These metrics and survey we created equip imMEDIAte Justice with the information to learn from their work, iterate, and grow to empower more young ladies to speak up & tell their stories through film.

Honor Good Deeds

Ohio

Honor Good Deeds is an organization that encourages young people to embrace their differences and live loud. While working with Change Better, Honor Good Deeds had the opportunity to dive into understanding their brand and competitive advantage in a deep way. We also worked with them to build metrics and an impact-evaluation strategy in order to track their programs and the effect change within their school communities. With this shift toward data-driven decisions, the organization is now set up to learn what works, what doesn't, and how they can grow in the most effective way. Through our partnership, Honor Good Deeds has the tools to build stronger programs, and create tolerance in a meaningful way.
